Much ado about open APs


I AM happy that former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin has suggested that the Government would consider abolishing the open Approved Permit (AP) policy for the import of vehicles to help reduce the cost of owning cars in Malaysia.

“Removing the APs would translate into cheaper cars for the rakyat,” he was quoted as having said on Wednesday.
