Commuters pleased with newly opened terminal despite shortcomings

READY FOR OPERATIONS...The new Sentral Kuantan Terminal in Indera Mahkota will be operational in August to replace the old Terminal Makmur which has been converted into the Kuantan UTC. Ticketing counters and express buses will start operating at the new terminal equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the comfort of passengers. Workers were seen putting up final touches ahead of the opening which will see the closure of the present temporary station near Stadium Darul Makmur. KUANTAN: Despite some shortcomings, commuters are generally happy with the newly-opened Terminal Sentral Kuantan.

Commuter Mohd Ikhsan Nainggolan, 60, said the integrated bus station was certainly a big improvement over the drab old Terminal Makmur.
