Thirty-six trees along Jalan Masjid Negeri in George Town will soon be transplanted to Lebuh Sungai Pinang to make way for a road-widening project.
A Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) spokesman had earlier said that they were not doing this in a hurry as they wanted to ensure the trees survive the move.
