Adaptations lack personalisation

BOOKS — not only do they serve as repositories of knowledge, but they can also serve as keys to escape the mundane, humdrum world of everyday. Of late, however, there seems to be a rising trend in turning words on paper into images on the silver screen.

Yes, I am talking about movie adaptations and, while I feel that there are many that have been done well, others have fallen far short of bringing to life the author’s vision.
