Pahang government to move families into new housing settlement


KUANTAN: The state government is working towards resettling all squatters to permanent low-cost housing schemes as part of its long-term efforts to eradicate such colonies.

Pahang state secretary Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail said for a start, a total of 22 squatter families residing along flood-prone Sungai Galing and Galing Besar would be relocated to Kampung Permatang Pak Mahat housing scheme.
