LIKE most people, I have many fond memories of the old Satok Weekend Market in Kuching, also known as the Sunday Market. Needless to say, I was quite ambivalent about its relocation from Jalan Satok to the new Medan Niaga Satok near Kubah Ria on the other side of Sarawak River.
On the last day of trading at the old site on Dec 30, I went to visit with a few friends — all of us came equipped with cameras.
