KUCHING: The proposed 6km-cable car system in the Santubong peninsula is part of a multi-billion ringgit project to boost the overall tourism sector in Sarawak.
Advisor to the project proposer One Cable Car (Santubong) Development Sdn Bhd, Tan Sri Ting Pek Khiing, said the whole project would be known as Santubong beach and city resort involving alienation and reclamation of land in the South China Sea up to 1,000ha.
