HELPING women to bring out their inner strength and confidence, emma lizs boutique salon has planned a workshop for members of the emma lizs Women and Power and Passion customer loyalty card.
Entitled ‘Time out with Alice, Teresa and Pauline,’ women of all ages were treated to an enriching session with these three women on how to enhance not only the outer, but inner image as well at the Gardens Hotel and Residences, Mid Valley City.
Emma lizs founder Alice Teoh shared how all women had the power and passion to excel.
“It isn’t the power to control, dominate or manipulate but to inspire, influence and change lives with knowledge that they have imparted to others,” she said.
Teoh explained that she met such women daily in her work at emma lizs, and how inspiring it was to hear stories about women who were passionate about their beliefs and what they held dear.
Certified image consultant Teresa Dian Chew taught the women who attended the workshop ways to feel good about themselves by enhancing their inner self.
“A person’s external and internal image can be seen through little details we tend to overlook, like the way you walk, the way you express yourself, how you dress, even the way you sit can leave a lasting impression on a person.
“Therefore, to achieve personal confidence is to achieve personal success,” she said.
Chew not only showed the various steps to take in learning more about oneself, she also relates her personal experience and conducted a few activities to bring home the message.
Professional belly dancer Pauline Low fortified Chew’s words of wisdom by teaching the women present at the workshop the basic steps of belly-dancing, much to their excitement.
“Many women are hesitant in joining my belly-dancing class as they are not confident about their bodies and are afraid to expose themselves, and worry about what others think about them,” she said.
Emma lizs was founded in 1993 with its first store set up in SS17, Subang Jaya, providing professional-grade beauty treatments.
