Ops Rondaan 1Malaysia effective in tackling crime in Lutong

MIRI: The crime index for the Lutong police station, one of two hotspots here, has seen a drastic reduction over the last one month, thanks to the Ops Rondaan 1Malaysia.

Acting Miri OCPD Supt Ismail Toh Paduka Idris told The Star yesterday that Miri was chosen as one of eight pioneering cities in the country for the operation, which was part of the Government Transformation Pro-gramme’s (GTP) effort for crime prevention.
