THAIPUSAM CELEBRATIONS
The Sri Subramaniar Temple will celebrate Thaipusam on Feb 7 from 6am onwards at the temple in Gunung Cheroh, along Jalan Raja Musa Aziz, Ipoh. Special prayers and ‘Abishegam’ will be held. Devotees will be carrying kavadis at the temple grounds and after ‘Maheswara Pooja’ prayers while lunch will be served to the devotees and well-wishers attending the event. On Feb 6 at 5am there will be a chariot procession from the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Jalan Sungai Pari, Ipoh to the Gunung Cheroh temple and the chariot will return to the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple on Feb 8 at 3.30pm.
