WASTE Management concessionaire SWM Environment Sdn Bhd will invest some RM22mil to purchase 40 new compactor vehicles to replace its fleet of ailing garbage trucks in Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor.
Its executive chairman Dr Uzir Abdul Malik said the move was aimed at improving its services, more so with the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Functions Act (Act 672) coming into force on Sept 1.
