THE first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri got off to a delicious start when thousands of people thronged several open houses in Penang for a buffet spread of festive goodies.
Dressed in their finest Baju Melayu and trendy baju kurung, community leaders and politicians welcomed their guests from all races with an array of traditional Malay favourites such as lemang, ketupat, rendang, satay, laksa, mee rebus and sweet treats.
