Independence won through racial unity

MANY talk about the importance of treasuring the country’s independence but it is crucial that they understand the meaning of Merdeka.

Penang Information Department director Mohamad Fatkhul Hatta Robiki said Merdeka is synonymous with the principles enshrined in the Federal Constitution and Rukun Negara because without them, the country would not have achieved independence.
