Colonial mansion restored

The heritage building housing the Hong Leong Bank at 1, Light Street, Penang, has been restored to its original mid-1800s look. At that time, it was known as Foo Tye Sin Mansion.

Hong Leong Group managing director Yvonne Chia said the group, as the inheritors of the beautiful mansion, had a duty to maintain the entrepreneurial and community spirit of the late Foo Tye Sin, a noted merchant tycoon and community leader.
