THE 1Utama shopping centre takes on Halloween with a glamorous spin by celebrating gothic fashion trends. There will be fashion-themed events from now until Oct 31 at Ground Floor Highstreet. Watch out for photo opportunities with Halloween costumed characters like Count Dracula, the Headless Ghost and Horror Zombie today and tomorrow (Oct 23 and 23) at 2pm and 5pm. There will also be a violin performance titled Sally Night-shade Symphony by Rebecca Shih today and tomorrow at 8pm.
MAYBANK Storytelling Competition — Stories For Our Future, takes place this weekend at Oval, 1Utama Shopping Centre. Watch children tell stories, sing, dance and show off their showmanship. Children will compete in two categories, 7-9 and 10-12. The event is presented by Maybank in conjunction with The Star Kids Fair happening this Nov 27 and 28. Maybank is the main sponsor for The Star Kids Fair 2010. Participating children have registered on the Kids Fair microsite. A CHARITY bazaar with more than 50 stalls selling various merchandise is taking place to raise funds for cancer patients. Held in conjunction with the breast cancer awareness month, Artsy Communications, a local event management company, is organizing the Pink-Tober charity bazaar, at MAP, Solaris Dutamas tomorrow from 10am.
