Bong wins despite early scare

SARAWAK’s top squash player Valentino Bong from Miri had an early scare before going on to win the Men’s Open of the Sibu leg of the Sarawak Squash Circuit at the Lau Swee Nguong Squash Centre.

Bong, a silver medalist at the recent Sukma in Malacca, was given a tough time by his opponent Bexter Jap, the state Sukma reserve player, at the finals on Sunday.
