THOSE who met Thai meditation master Ajahn Jumnien Silsetso often wonder why he needs to have an assortment of amulets, beads, talisman and handphones dangling from his robes.
Many thought it was awkward for the Theravada monk from the Thai forest tradition to carry amulets while others believed that Ajahn Jumnien needed the amulets for protection as he was also known to be a shaman.
