USM sing the blues

THE rot continues for Premier League debutant Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) FC as they crashed to their seventh straight defeat in the professional campaign at the USM Stadium in Penang on Monday.

USM, who had given their team a shake up by parading the players who had led them to promotion last season, were hoping that the change could help them capitalise on the home ground advantage against Sarawak to end their string of defeats. But the East Malaysians, strongly inspired by an away win over Pahang’s Shahzan Muda last week, were in an uncompromising mood to chalk a 2-0 victory.
