Task force to tackle traders’ licence and relocation issues

A TASK force will be set up to ensure the proper and smooth issuance of licences to the Pudu Market traders who have been operating in the area for years without proper permits.

“Some of them have been in this 60-year-old market for the past 20 years. The task force will ensure all traders who are eligible for a licence receive it before any are relocated, so that the upgrading project for the market can start,” Hawkers and Petty Traders Association chairman Jeff Tan Ker Chiang said.
