DESPITE a late call-up pasar malam trader Yee Gan Chee won a bronze medal for Malaysia in the women’s F48 category in the powerlifting event in the Asean Para Games at the Putra Stadium.
Yee, taking part in her fourth Para Games, lifted 50kg in her third attempt to finish third. Vietnam’s Chau Hoan Tuyet Loan won the gold with a new Games record og 100kg while Thailand’s Motnok Hat won the silver in 55kg.
