Wesak celebration
THE Shah Alam Buddhist Society (SABS) is inviting everyone to join them in this year’s Wesak celebrations throughout the weekend at its premises at 9, Jalan Sungai Congkak 32/41, Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam. The event will start off with the lighting of lamp ceremony tonight at 8pm, followed by a dharma talk. On Wesak Day, the programme begins at 6am where devotees can perform the bathing of the baby Buddha and attend chanting and blessing services. There will be a blood donation campaign on Sunday. SABS is also offering scholarships to students who have achieved good results in last year’s examinations. Contact SABS at 03-5121 5186.
