Nearly 10,000 people mostly students thronged the Canseleri Square in Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recently for the launch of the eastern zone higher education carnival by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The students, mostly from the three east coast states, seized the opportunity during the carnival to gather information pertaining to the enrolment procedures and courses offered by the public and private universities.
