Hindus go to great lengths to pay homage to Lord Muruga

THREE years ago, Gangga Paramesu, 51, carried a pal kodam (milk kavadi) for her dying 17-year-old son. Today, she continues to do so for her remaining two daughters in the hope that Lord Muruga would help them get through life.

“When my son was dying of a brain tumour, I carried the pal kodam for him. My daughter gave up her dream of studying medicine after his death. I hope that my vow will give her peace of mind,” she said.
