THE Election Commission (EC) destroyed on Thursday ballot papers used in the Permatang Pauh and Bukit Mer-tajam parliamentary constituencies in the general election on March 8, after it received no objections to the election results.
The ballot papers used in the Pematang Pauh parliamentary seat, Permatang Pasir state seat, Seberang Jaya state seat, Penanti state seat, Bukit Mertajam parliamentary seat, Berapit state seat, Machang Bubok state seat and Padang Lalang state seat were burnt.
