PENANG: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has been served with a writ of seizure and sale of the 18-storey Wisma TNB in Jalan Anson here for the recovery of RM4.8mil owed to 12 landowners in Sungai Bakap.
Counsel for the landowners Ram Pillai said the writ, executing a High Court judgment on Feb 15, was obtained after TNB failed to pay RM2.8mil compensation owed to the landowners for putting up a national grid system, a permanent structure on 14ha land in 1997.
