COME 2010, the Royal Malaysian Police air unit will have a training base in Ipoh. To be located next to the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, the RM100mil base will be spread over 16 hectares.
Police Air Unit commander Senior Asst Comm (II) Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said there would be a total of four police air unit bases in the country when the Ipoh base was completed in 2010.
