Former estate workers get their due

FORMER plantation and mill workers of Brooklands Estate in Banting, who endured various issues as a result of the estate owner's failure in providing an alternative housing when the area was redeveloped have finally gotten their dues after a 13-year battle.  

On Dec 15 last year, about 52 families signed the Sales and Purchase Agreement with the developers and each family would get a low-cost unit costing RM35,000 each.
