THE Malaysian men’s basketball team booked their place in the semi-finals of the Pe-nang Chief Minister’s Asian Basket-ball Invitation Tournament after producing a stunning first ever victory over a Chinese outfit.
Staring at elimination following the shock 67-70 defeat to Singa-pore earlier, the Malaysians were required to beat professional club China Tianjin in their final Group A game at the Han Chiang Indoor Arena in Penang recently.
