AS a resident of Section 7, Bandar Baru Bangi, I would like to highlight to the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) the massive congestion in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 7.
The congestion at Jalan 7/3 in front of the school occurs when parents drop off or pick up their children, and is even worse at noon as the school has two sessions.
Two years ago, the situation was not so bad as there was a slip road near the Projet petrol station.
Unfortunately, this road was closed, leaving road users no choice but to use Jalan 7/3 which also comes with many humps.
To make matters worse, the surrounding area is rapidly developing with new shop-lots, bungalows, houses and apartments being built. This has posed a serious safety threat to the children and other road users. I would like to propose that MPKj re-open the junction near the Projet petrol station.
I understand that the schools Parent- Teacher Association has highlighted this matter to MPKj several times, but to no avail.
