THE adage that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree literally describes the bubur kacang family business in Jalan Datuk Koyah off Penang Road which is run by third and fourth generation vendors.
The dessert business is still ope-rating on the same spot for nearly 60 years long after the Straits Echo's office, whose vendors were its early customers, had closed and which is now occupied by Kayu Nasi Kandar.
