KUCHING: Sarawak has set a target for all forest management units in the state to be certified by the Malaysia Timber Certification Coun-cil by 2013 as part of its sustainable forest management policy.
Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said sustainable management was necessary to meet current demands as well as to ensure continued availability of forest resources for future generations.
