Residents make it hard for DBKL

SOME selfish and inconsiderate individuals are giving Alam Flora and DBKL a bad name in Taman Bukit Indah, near Happy Garden, Jalan Kelang Lama.

Both organisations have been doing a good job maintaining the cleanliness in the neighbourhood, but some residents seem determined to make their task harder.

Although some house owners do dispose of their rubbish properly, not everyone is civic-minded.

An old cupboard dumped on the roadside.

Few spare a thought for the men who collect garbage or the women who sweep the streets and drains of the neighbourhood.

In Taman Bukit Indah, some people are disposing their rubbish indiscriminately.

Bags of rubbish containing decomposing food and vegetables are dumped right in front of other people’s houses while old mattresses, plastic bins and cupboards have found their way onto road kerbs.

This situation, if not controlled, will only get worse.

People should start thinking of others for a change.
