I WOULD like to thank the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) for checking on the hygiene at restaurants, as the cleanliness of most restaurant kitchens is deplorable, to say the least.
It is good that MPK has decided to close down these shops as they pose a serious threat to the health of their customers.
Food contamination is a serious threat that should be nipped in the bud.
To inform the public which shops have been closed for being dirty, I suggest that notices be put up at thepremises .
Eateries should also be graded according to their level of cleanliness, and this grading should be prominently placed for the public to see.
Then it would be for the public to decide if they want to take a risk eating at these establishments.
