COLLECTING interesting seashells at sandy beaches is a favourite activity among picnickers. Using this as a concept that fits Penang's image as a resort island surrounded by beautiful sea and beaches, the Penang Municipal Council has created a shell garden in Farquhar Street, George Town.
Erected inside the garden, which is called Taman Tiram, are 12 two-dimension (2D) giant-size structures of different types of seashells, each with an information plaque on it.
