The Department of Minerals and Geoscience has sent a draft on quarry rules, which regulate safety and other aspects of quarrying operations, to the Sarawak government.
Similar rules have been adopted by Perak, Pahang, Sabah, Kelantan and Selangor, said the department’s mines and quarries development unit officer M. Suhaimi Nordin.
