Starting on July 1 at the Benkay Japanese Restaurant of the Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur is the Shabu Shabu Promotion. Besides the traditional Shabu Shabu, which uses mainly beef, the one served during the promotion also includes seafood. The Shabu Shabu is offered with kombu, the traditional Shabu Shabu stock that has kimchi (fermented cabbage, a Korean origin) added into it. Each order comes with a platter consisting of vegetables, assorted sushi, dessert and a glass of housepouring wine or sake. A set of Shabu Shabu is priced from RM98++ to RM168++.
