Jaguar for first time winner

Customers of OCBC Bank (M) Bhd in Klang seem to be extra lucky by winning fabulous prizes in contests organised by the bank.

Ang Wan Pin, a 31-year-old businesswoman from Klang, won a Jaguar S-type 2.5 litre luxury sedan worth RM438,000 in the recently concluded OCBC Luxury Car Contest.

“Two years ago, another customer from Klang won a double-storey corner lot house in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam,,” said OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd director/chief executive officer Datuk Albert Yeoh Beow Tit after a recent mock car key handover ceremony at Menara OCBC in Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur.

Ang said she found it hard to sleep after the bank informed her of her win through a telephone call recently.

Ang, who became an OCBC Visa Classic credit card member last year, said it was the first time she had won a prize in a consumer contest.

She had submitted 100 entries for the contest, which ran from April last year to March this year.

“However, I do not plan to keep the car. I will sell it and save the money for my children’s education,” said Ang, whose two daughters, Angel and Amber, are aged three and one, respectively.

OCBC Bank (Malaysia) head of credit cards Fyaro Liew said the contest was to reward the bank’s customers for their loyalty.

The bank is also organising a OCBC Luxury Condo Contest where the prize is a condominium unit worth more than RM1mil in 8 @ Mount Sophia, near Orchard Road in Singapore.
