Found in a ditch: Body of car repo man with stab wounds

KULAI: The body of a 34-year-old man with stab wounds has been found in a ditch at KM40.1 of the North-South Expressway near Sedenak here.

The car repossessor was said to have died from several stabs and injuries to his head and body in an incident last Sunday (Dec 20).

Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Md Yusof Ahmad said the victim and a friend were headed back to Kuala Lumpur in a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) that they had repossessed earlier in Johor Baru.

It was understood that the vehicle owner had failed to pay the monthly instalments, leading to the repossession.

He said that the MPV driver lost control of his vehicle after two other vehicles forced it to the side of the road.

Yusof added that the victim was stabbed a few times before his body was left at the scene, while his friend managed to flee.

Following the incident, police arrested two men aged 26 and 33 to aid in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

He added that on Thursday (Dec 24), another 10 individuals aged 17 to 31 were arrested after police raided an accommodation in Bakri, Muar at around 12.30am.

Those arrested were believed to be part of an underground society in Johor Baru. An application for a remand order would be done later today (Dec 24), he said.
