TWENTY years ago, I wrote an article about the perception of Bangsar’s moniker as the “rich person’s area”, specifically noting the many working class people who live and work in the neighbourhood.

To accompany the story, I made my mother take me on a drive (I was only 16) at 6am to capture pictures of the market being set up, people from the lower-income flats walking towards the bus stop and more.
