CIMB Bank and Eraman Malaysia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, announced last week that they have signed an agreement to extend their strategic partnership.

The renewed partnership, which also comes with better benefits for CIMB Bank credit and debit cardmembers, was sealed with a signing ceremony and launch of the “Spend and Win — Bring Home Great Gifts Wrapped in Joy” campaign in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Malaysia Airports Holdings managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said, “The collaboration with CIMB Bank enhances the revenue stream of Malaysia Airports Niaga Sdn Bhd and its Eraman Malaysia duty-free outlets, and is very much in line with MAHB’s efforts to promote greater benefits for the shoppers who patronise our airports. We are very confident of the revenue potential that can and will be generated from this marketing collaboration.”

CIMB CEO Bank Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said, “CIMB Bank and Eraman have worked together for the last five years and this partnership has enabled CIMB Bank cardmembers, both locally and regionally, to enjoy the finest travel retail shopping experience. I’m excited with the additional benefits that this renewed partnership brings to our cardmembers.”

The duty-free privileges apply to a wide range of merchandise, such as fragrances, cosmetics, chocolates, liquor, fashion apparel and accessories. Holders of CIMB Bank’s Visa Signature, Platinum, Gold, Classic, Debit and Kwik cards will continue to enjoy a 10% discount in these categories while CIMB Preferred Visa Infinite cardmembers continue to benefit from 15% discount on their duty free purchases. Additionally, the 15% discount has been extended to include CIMB World MasterCard and Visa Infinite cardmembers.

In addition to the 10% and 15% discounts at duty free outlets, CIMB Bank cardmembers can now get a 15% discount at Eraman’s other retail and dining outlets such as Swarovski, Thomas Sabo, Oroton, Kipling, Barbara Rihl, Bibik Heritage, Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Pasta Mania, Bar Metropole and many more.

Cardmembers can enjoy these extensive discounts at Eraman duty free, dining and retail outlets in airports across Malaysia.

CIMB Bank cardmembers with credit card bonus points can also redeem their points, either in full or partially, for Eraman products under the bank’s “Pay with Points” programme.

In conjunction with the signing ceremony, Badlisham and Sulaiman unveiled the “Spend and Win - Bring Home Great Gifts Wrapped in Joy” campaign which runs until Aug 31.

Cardmembers will earn one contest entry for every RM250 in spending in a single day during the campaign period. There will be a total of 100 prizes including holiday packages, shopping sprees and Eraman vouchers. The top three prizes are holiday packages to Switzerland, Morocco and Greece. Apart from the “Spend and Win” contest, under the “Gift with Purchase” campaign that ends July31, cardmembers will be rewarded with RM50 Eraman vouchers when they spend a minimum of RM500 and above on total nett bill in a single day at Eraman duty free outlets.
