A gala dinner will be held to raise funds for education and healthcare initiatives in support of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and the UTAR Hospital Patient Welfare Fund.
The event is scheduled to take place on Nov 28 at Copper Mansion at Monkeys Canopy Resort in Bandar Sungai Long, Selangor.
UTAR president Prof Datuk Dr Ewe Hong Tat said the university was honoured to work with Champion Networking Group on the initiative.
“This collaboration reflects a shared belief that institutions, businesses and the wider community can achieve far more when we work together for the common good,” he said.
“Through this partnership, we are launching a fundraising effort in support of two very meaningful causes: the UTAR Hospital Patient Welfare Fund and UTAR.
“These two causes reflect UTAR’s commitment to social responsibility and our mission to serve the community.”
Prof Ewe said the UTAR Hospital Patient Welfare Fund provided financially disadvantaged patients with access to essential medical treatment and healthcare services.
“Meanwhile, UTAR helps deserving students facing financial hardship pursue higher education with confidence and hope.
“By supporting these causes, we do more than address immediate needs – we invest in lives, create opportunities and help build a brighter future for our community,” he said.
He noted that the charity gala dinner was expected to bring together business leaders, corporate sponsors, professionals, alumni, philanthropists and the public who share a common commitment to giving back.
“Beyond fundraising, the gala also aims to raise awareness of the importance of accessible healthcare and affordable, quality education, inspiring collective action to make a meaningful difference in our community.”
