TO celebrate three decades of transforming the Malaysian skyline, Matrix Concepts’ Holdings Bhd hosted a two-night “Jewel Masquerade” gala at d’Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan.
The 600-strong guest list of bankers, lawyers and community leaders gathered to toast to the past and witness a historic turning point for the company.
While the first night was about business partnerships to celebrate the spirit of collaboration and mutual trust, the second night belonged to the company’s employees as they were recognised for their professionalism, resilience and team spirit.

Group executive director Kelvin Lee said the company’s success was not just built on developments and numbers, but on loyalty and sacrifices of its people.
He also thanked those who were instrumental in building the group into what it is today.
“The foundation we stand on were shaped by these leaders.
“They formed the culture of always maintaining disciplined financial strategy, and strong people-centric values.
“That legacy continues to guide us, and it is something we respect deeply as we move forward,” he said.
Kelvin singled out founder and group executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock, chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin and group advisor and former group managing director Ho Kong Soon for their visionary leadership, outstanding business acumen, work ethics and professional management.
“As we move forward, our focus remains anchored in our people, purpose and progress,” Kelvin added.
Both nights were enlivened by staff’s engaging and vibrant performances.
One of the most poignant moments was the Long Service Awards ceremony, where tribute videos honoured employees who journeyed with the company across the decades.
A key highlight of the second evening was the reaffirmation of Matrix Concepts’ succession planning as Tian Hock shared his confidence in the next generation of leadership.
The group’s future will be led by his sons, Kelvin and Harry, marking a structured and thoughtful transition designed to ensure continuity while embracing fresh perspectives.
Tian Hock said this was the time to explore new opportunities, embrace innovation and elevate Matrix Concepts’ to the next level with a younger management team at the forefront.
“The first phase of Matrix Concepts’ was about building foundations.
“This marks the second phase of the Matrix chapter, focusing on acceleration and transformation,” he added.
As the company steps into its fourth decade, two megaprojects are set to define the future – MVV City (Negri Sembilan), a 952ha integrated township within Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 and Bandar Seri Impian Phase 2 (Johor), a 132ha development.
