Download app to get huge discount on KK parking compounds

MOTORISTS with outstanding parking compounds can look forward to discounts under a Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) initiative from Oct 16 to 31.

Under the Jom Bayar Kompaun programme, motorists only have to pay for parking and not the penalty, said Kota Kinabalu mayor Datuk Seri Dr Sabin Samitah.

“The offer is only open to users who downloaded the Sabah Smart Parking app,” he said in a statement.

The month-long programme will be held in conjunction with DBKK’s launch of the Sabah Smart Parking app as the city transitions to a digital parking payment system.

Sabin said payment can be done through the app and DBKK counters where users would need to show proof of having downloaded the app.

“However, the discount is not applicable to users making online payment through dbkk.eservice,” Sabin added.

He urged city folk to take advantage of the programme by downloading the app.

The mayor said City Hall and its subsidiary DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd would open counters to make it easier for motorists to check and settle compounds.

“After the end of this programme, DBKK will take action against motorists who did not settle their compounds, especially those with high arrears.

“We will not accept any appeal for reduction of compounds,” Sabin warned.

For enquiries, call DBKK Holdings’ parking management unit at 088-270 181/182/012-769 0181 or DBKK enforcement department at 088-521 800.
