AS holiday vibes take over Klang Valley, globetrotters can revel in offers and experiences at an upcoming travel expo.

Asia Interactive Travel Expo (AITX) 2024 will take place from June 7 to 9 at Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam, Selangor.

With a focus on Asian destinations, visitors can explore affordable travel packages including wellness tourism, hotels and resorts, domestic travel and cruise adventures at the expo which will be open from 10am to 10pm.

Guests can also engage in interactive experiences and discover cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance the travel experience.

“AITX 2024 isn’t just another boring and ordinary expo.

“It is the very first interactive and immersive travel expo in Malaysia,” Reserve Daily Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Lynnette Seet said during the expo’s unveiling ceremony at KL Wellness City Gallery in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

Highlights of the expo, which is organised by Epic Synergy Sdn Bhd and Reserve Daily, include immersive technology showcases allowing visitors to virtually transport themselves to exotic destinations and explore different cultures.

Interactive bidding sessions will allow participants to take control of their travel plans by offering the opportunity to bid on dream trips at preferred prices.

Exclusive pre-live sales will also be announced before the expo kicks off, providing visitors with early access to incredible travel deals.

Additionally, visitors can look forward to thrilling virtual reality (VR) games in collaboration with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), and travel prizes.

“We wanted more than just transactions. We want engagement, relationships and a whole lot of fun,” Seet said.

AITX 2024 also invites participants to capture and share their travel experiences through a pre-event photography competition.

Participants can submit their best travel photos with an Asian theme for a chance to win prizes. Finalists will be announced a week prior to the expo.

At the launch, a signing ceremony established the partnerships between Epic Synergy, represented by founder Datuk Westin Chew, APU represented by vice-chancellor Prof Dr Ho Chin Kuan, and Reserve Daily represented by Seet.

Also present were Epic Synergy founder Datuk Ng Chuan Hoo, APU chief innovation and enterprise officer Prof Dr Vinesh Thiruchelvam, Blackbody Emission founder Low Zi Xiang, KL Wellness City branding, sales and marketing director Datuk Vincent Tiew, Business Networking Club Malaysia (BNC) president Jeffrey Tham and TV and radio personality Angel Wong Chui Ling.
