250 celebrate occasion at luxury glamping resort

THE mid-day sun was scorching but within Tiarasa Escapes in Janda Baik, Pahang, guests at a Hari Raya Aidilfitri event stayed cool under the shade of lush trees and the gentle breeze.

Casual seating areas with colourful accents set the scene for the “Raya in the Rainforest” event at the luxury glamping destination hosted by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina.

The laidback affair gave some 250 guests a chance to relax and unwind with good food and music on the last day of the one-month Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Tiara, who is a director, producer, actress and entrepreneur, said this was the first Hari Raya event hosted at the glamping resort post-Covid-19.

“We have hosted each year except during the lockdown period.

“So we wanted to do something special this time, hence the theme of ‘Bohemian Raya’ which we felt would go well with the forest location,” she said.

Tiara, who is Tiarasa Resorts founder, said she wanted visitors to have the experience of ‘escaping to nature’.

During the event, guests were able to check out the safari-style tents and treetop villas, as well as enjoyed festive food like satay and kambing golek with refreshing drinks and ice-cream to help cope with the humidity.

Tiara, who is also Enfiniti (M) Sdn Bhd group president, said she planned to focus on the growth of Tiara Resorts and Dream Forest Langkawi – a multi-sensory theme park in Langkawi.

“We are working towards opening a second Dream Forest location in another state.

“This will hopefully happen by the end of this year or early next year,” she said.

She added that it was also time to open a second Tiarasa, “if not in Klang Valley, then in Langkawi.”

Dream Forest Langkawi is an immersive outdoor night attraction, located in the Lubuk Semilang rainforest in Langkawi, Kedah.

It tells the story of Langkawi through the use of technology.
