Aeon Fashion Preview 2022 (AFP22) debuted new trends at the Tapak Urban Street Dining Kuala Lumpur.
It featured four main collections – an Aeon exclusive with Neonate x Guys’ Vision, Scarlet Loungewear for parties, Ti:Zed couple wear and a collaboration of brands featuring the motif of rabbits, the zodiac sign for Lunar New Year 2023.
Live music performances by Orang Orang Drum Theatre, Yonnyboii, Aruel Ariel and Aman RA added more exuberance to the event.
Food trucks were also lined up to serve scrumptious bites.

Along with celebrating Aeon’s 38th anniversary in Malaysia, the event was also aimed at growing the different fashion brands in Aeon such as Scarlet, Agenda, Suave and Crème.
Aeon Co (M) Bhd deputy managing director and chief operating officer Naoya Okada said: “We have been working on cutting-edge fabric technology to make more functional clothing, and we are coming up with new brands such as innerCasual as well as + Collection to fill in size gaps.”
Aeon Co (M) Bhd chief merchandise and marketing officer Low Ngai Yuen said innerCasual or iC was Aeon’s speciality concept of functional innerwear, active wear and casual wear with sustainability high on its agenda.

“So, working on a personalisation programme like this with brands like SCAR and White Rabbit speaks volumes about Aeon’s intention to extend the life cycles of every piece of apparel that is made with so much love,” added Low.
AFP22 also highlighted the importance of dressing for self rather than dressing to impress others. From the themes of #ownwhatyouwear to #comfortfit, Aeon is all about access to affordable and comfortable clothing that gives confidence.
Neonate x Guys’ Vision is a popular Malaysian streetwear brand under Neonate Clothing Company established in 2019 by Karl Shafek Ibrahim and Ahmad Syahir Hamdan.

Fully made in Malaysia, this collection uses colours and elements of the 1960s to the 1990s like television test patterns and arcade games with a breath of modernity.
Aeon’s Scarlet Loungewear aspires to provide effortless glamour while also emphasising comfort and cosiness with accessories like headbands, pyjamas and mismatched socks.
Meanwhile, Ti:Zed’s pullovers, sweaters and cotton T-shirts showcase the twinning couple wear concept.
Lastly, the upcoming Year of the Rabbit is the inspiration behind the collaboration of SCAR, Arcadia, Crème, + Collection, J-Kids and Guy’s Vision which is themed “tù-gether”.
