‘Retain heritage, history and culture’

IMAGES of bats are a common sight in Kluang, a district that got its name from the Bahasa Malaysia term “keluang” which refers to a type of large fruit bat.

Paintings and murals of the nocturnal mammals decorate its streets and places of interest, earning Kluang town, which is the district capital, the moniker of Bat Town.

Ling says the town’s cultural heritage is among reasons that attract many youths to return to Kluang.
