JKG Central Park Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of JKG Land Bhd, welcomes premium grocer The Food Merchant and other key partners to The Era’s boutique retail boulevard RainTreeRain in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.

Offering new ways to shop, dine and chill out, the three-level boulevard is housed directly below the facility podium of The Era@Duta North – JKG Land’s flagship mixed commercial development spanning some six hectares.

Inspired by the tropical rainforest, RainTreeRain with 277,000sq ft of retail space is a themed garden space with outlets for alfresco dining, and dotted by colourful kiosks offering comfort food under yum-yum trees.

JKG Land Bhd managing director Datuk Teh Kean Ming said, “RainTreeRain is the ideal place for startups and trendsetters to showcase new ideas as well as creative retail and food and beverage offerings.

“It offers an inviting ambiance with an eclectic mix of anchor tenant spaces, standard layouts and buzzboxes down to the smallest kiosks.

“The arrival of The Food Merchant as one of our anchor tenants will be a breath of fresh air,” he said.

The Food Merchant will occupy 25,000sq ft on the lower ground floor of RainTreeRain and is slated to open in December.

This will be the grocer’s fifth outlet in the country and it has curated a formidable range of air-flown fresh produce, quality meats, sublime seafood and fine groceries from across the world.

Other notable new retail partners occupying RainTreeRain are Dai Cha Dim, A Plus Medical Clinic, LN Fortunate Coffee, Salad Atelier and Herbal Tea.

“This is just the beginning of our goal to elevate the retail landscape and rejuvenate Jalan Segambut’s dated industrial neighbourhood,” Teh said at the signing ceremony with new tenants at the retail boulevard.

In conjunction with the event, JKG Land held a fun-filled Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at RainTreeRain on the same day.

Joining the celebration were special guests from Rumah Charis, a non-profit organisation which shelters and educates underprivileged children aged three to 18 years.

In conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, JKG Central Park Sdn Bhd has also launched a new limited-time promotional package for Phase 2 of its serviced apartments at The Era@Duta North.
