THE past 10 years has seen greater awareness of psoriasis, says Penang Hospital Dermatology Department head Dr Tan Wooi Chiang.
However, there are still misconceptions about the skin disease, with many assuming the condition is contagious, causing psoriasis patients to be shunned.
