Water supply to KL neighbourhoods to resume on Wednesday (Nov 10), says Air Selangor

Petaling Jaya: Residents in 13 neighbourhoods in Kuala Lumpur currently experiencing water disruption due to a burst pipe at the Middle Ring Road 2, will have their supply resumed on Wednesday (Nov 10).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in an official media release said it had stopped water supply to the affected areas earlier Tuesday (Nov 9) at about 11.30am to allow for repairs.

The 13 areas affected by the unscheduled disruption are Taman Muda, Taman Bukit Permai, Taman Bukit Pandan, Kg Cheras Baru, Taman Mawar, Taman Seraya, Taman Mega, Taman Bukit Teratai, Taman Melur, Taman Saga, Taman Putra, Pandan Mewah and Taman Mestika.

“Works to repair the burst pipe is expected to be completed by 11.30am tomorrow (Nov 10). Consumers will receive water supply in stages once the repairs are done,” said Air Selangor.

Air Selangor added that it will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres as well as funeral parlours.

“Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing and to wear a face mask at all times while collecting water supply from the water tankers," it said.

Air Selangor added that households affected can get updates on Air Selangor’s official social media channels, or by calling 15300 or the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com
